I have illustrated a range of subjects for myriad uses & mediums- from web video to television, Broadway, murals, museum exhibits, children's books, annual reports and beer labels. I'll post some of these periodically (meaning: when the mood hits me) and hopefully elicit comments, feedback and maybe new projects. I may wander into a discourse on illustration's history, my history & illustration's possible future, as I see it. Let's see where this takes us...

New Look for my web site

www.dahltaylorart.com has had a complete overhaul and is sporting a brand new look. There are more dynamic features to this site as well and, I think, it is a bit easier to navigate.

About Me

Dahl Taylor Art: Over 30 years I have worked on a wide variety of projects. I have concentrated on illustration assignments for national corporate & publishing clients and museums. Commissioned portraits include the official portrait of a former NYS Attorney General, which hangs in the N Y State Capitol, and portraits for major institutional & corporate collections. I’ve created paintings for limited edition prints for the National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial & the U.S. Navy Memorial, both located in Washington, D.C Artwork for several Broadway plays include the Tony-nominated ‘Having Our Say’ & a Neil Simon play. Exhibit work includes the N Y State Museum, Mystic Seaport, several N Y State Historic Sites & a 36’ long Veterans mural for the State University of N Y. My work has also appeared on the pages of numerous magazines including Money, Forbes, Readers’ Digest and The New Yorker. Corporate clients include General Electric, GATX Corporation, Ralph Lauren, BMG Music, Sam Adams & American Express. Shows include a one-man show at the Society of Illustrators and 15 international marine art shows at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport. I am represented in galleries throughout New England.
